Anthropic files its public S-1: Nasdaq ANT, 16.3 billion dollars of revenue in the half year
Anthropic filed its public S-1 with the SEC on 26 October 2026: Nasdaq, symbol ANT, revenue of 16.3 billion dollars in the first half of 2026, net loss of 80.7 billion. What is in the filing and what is still press.
On 26 October 2026 Anthropic, PBC filed its public Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It has applied to list its Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT. The number of shares and the price range are blank in the document (SEC EDGAR, 26 October 2026). The confidential draft had gone in on 1 June 2026; this is the first time anyone outside the SEC can read the numbers.
The numbers. Revenue of 16.3 billion dollars in the six months to 30 June 2026, against 1.2 billion in the same period of 2025, with 11.6 billion in the second quarter alone; the whole of 2025 was 4.6 billion. Operating loss of 693 million dollars in the half, turning into operating income of 974 million in the second quarter. Net loss of 80.7 billion dollars, of which 72.4 billion is the change in the fair value of convertible notes, derivative liabilities and SAFEs: an accounting charge that grows when the company's own valuation rises, not cash that left the building (SEC EDGAR, 26 October 2026).
At 30 June 2026 Anthropic held 112.4 billion dollars in cash and cash equivalents plus 19.3 billion in short-term investments. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley head the list of underwriters. Holders are tied by a 180-day lock-up, with a first release window on the 27th day after the prospectus date (SEC EDGAR, 26 October 2026).
What is still press. A valuation of about 2 trillion dollars and a debut in mid-November (CNBC, 26 October 2026), a roadshow from 9 November with up to 100 billion dollars raised (IFR, 17 to 23 October 2026), and investors arguing for about 1.5 trillion (Reuters, 19 October 2026). None of that is in the filing. The last price set by the company itself is the Series H, 965 billion dollars post-money (Anthropic, 28 May 2026).
Anthropic is one of the companies in the Unicorn Club list: members can see the Anthropic club deal, from 100,000 dollars per deal through a dedicated vehicle, in the Club app, where transfers remain subject to the company's approval (link in the sources).
What to watch next: the amended S-1 with the price range and the share count. That is the document that turns the press figures into a price.
